****
muzak74 - The tightest! Everybody even now wants to do this!

****
jpmala56- Mke Chambers does the glide and the moon walk the best I've ever seen. To bad when these new hip hop dancers of today perform their auditions on so you think you can dance they never perform / add that step along with their routine.

****
josebp3- the tightest moive ever

thy don't make gud moives like this no more

****
hudson19947- This was one of the best scenes in the movie. Go Turbo!! My man worked that broom. Never seen anymore since then. An original

****
travisfussell - nice jerry curl...got it goin' on...Turbo got it goin' on...very fly

****
greybies- takes me back the 80's ruled

nt68 - Brilliant!

****
yoshanity-o His gliding and body waves are just on point. The broom thing did get a little whack though, but props anyway.

****
jbc429 - hes a sick dancer no doubt but everything hes doing in this scene, michael jackson did before him. ozone/alfonzo is a much better and original dancer than this kid. although this kid did play the urkel bot from family matters. lol, and that was awesome.

****
BloodyNickles - i wanna find dis song what is the name of it where can i find it oh yea i tryed to pull dis off at my job at micky d's but failed lmao i know im not a b boy but it was fun to try lol whomever know dis name of dis song and hte artest get at me lol

****
MrSudoku- The song is called Tour De France by Kraftwerk. But there are 2 versions. Look for the 1983 version.

****
Chavezoid - haaaaaa ....this scene made me buy them shoes back in da 80s

****
nasjag - Why do they always show breakin' 2 on TV and never the original which is far better...

****
menonpd- I became a hardcore Nike fan after watching this scene from the movie! lol

****
Musikismygame- I, was seriously born in the wrong time period.

80s = most epic time. haha

****
masiyh- to all the people about the strings on the broom, the director of the movie wants you to see the strings so that you know it is not some trick. Plus it gives the dancing a plus. He makes it look so cool while dancing with the broom. The strings were meant to be seen that way u give credit to the choreography and the dancer. Plus everybody admits that is the single best choreography of all time. This single dance scene put him in the rock n roll hall of fame.

****
g00dstuff77 - hey everybody if you guys want a free show of this dude. he dances on some of the streets of Buena Park, cali. He is hilarious!!!

****
saintandrews84 - Wow, this still sends shivers down my spine ! AWSOME ACT

****
ArsenalAsh1976- michael "boogaloo shrimp" chambers.. he has a myspace and all sorts.. called turbo in this film...

****
Posted in 2009:

budfr -people, pause the clip at 1:35 and you will see strings attached to the broomstick and turbo´s hand! Of course, in a theater back in the day, it was virtually impossible to notice it.

****

****
xliingajjx- Your supposed to see the string

The scene isn't supposed to be thinking that u think it's magic

by seeing the stringgg it refelcts the choreography

****
889TS - Flash back 80s style. He was an alsome dancer. When i saw this i wished i could move like that. One of the best dancers in the world.

***
Jav1958 - great dancer..thank you Turbo for the memories....

****
moedem - and then his cleaning contract was terminated lol

****
kansas66204 - michael jackson hired boogaloo schrimp as his dance teacher for his tours.... his on bugaloos website..

****
dehvja- I don't understand why michael Jackson gets credit for the moonwalk but not boogaloo shrimp.. I believe the moonwalk move was pioneered in this movie by Boogaloo because this movie came out waaaay before MJ's motown 25 perfomance.!

****
KINGTONHIC77- you should checkout Jeff Daniels its video of him doing the moonwalk on soultrain in1979

****
06alwilliams- I remember my father took me and my brother to see this at the movies and I was mesmerized at this. This dude was the illest!!!!

****
states37 - Turbo always made those dances look so easy. I hated that I couldnt do that breakdance stuff. Though I danced in a contest. I did horrible. Id cry if I saw it on film. LOL.

****
amrisapimp- where can get blazers like his?

JLadicuss - great dance...horrible job sweeping...but great dance

****
danroduw06 - Believe it or not this single scene is responsible for the revolution in dance that subsequently followed the release of this movie and that still continues until this day.

****
Vavaline23 - LUV IT !!!!!!!!!

****
covfunky11035- legendary....

****
Chewbsy- If I tried this I'd break an ankle.

Dogstermaniac-first, tat is not the moonwalk, tats the backglide... and 2nd, michael jackson does the backglide like he does...

****
cosmic4peace - thanks for posting, brings back memories, a fantastic movie 5 stars

****
bboyhights- whats a back glide? searched everywhere for it or is itt called moon walk lol

****
Ithink998- yeah it was the moonwalk, he taught Michael jackson how to moonwalk and this scene put him to the rock n roll hall of fame. He was even invited to the white house because of this scene. His the cat in paula abdul's opposite attract video, was in sugar ray's fly video and has done heaps more. The acting in this movie is corny but they made history with the great dancing:)

****
Inspired2Dance- i can see the strings so easily, but i dont care about that, i care about the dance, man he is awes0me

****
ballerific420- They did a interview with him and he said your supposed to see the strings its not supposed to be a magic trick its about the dancing thats what he says =) my fav movie btw! I just ordered it and it should be at my house tomorrow! CANT WAIT TO WATCH IT AGAIN!

****
1hottlady- Lolz, Dave Chappelle mocked dis!! It was so funny!!

****
monchlark- dis was on America's best dance crew season 2, dey had 2 pay tribute 2 da movie. i think so real cru coud hav don betta dough

****
jflores949 - If you old school you know this scene, the best scene of the 80's to me. 12 yrs old looking at this i was mesmerized from those moves..i spent nights duplicating his moves but never did get it haha. but i can still say i spin this record on mixes...thanks for the post

****
fpzona -o Used to blast this in my cassette walkman when I was 10. It was recorded so I nefer new who made this . Didnt matter. this was SICK and I miss it !!!

****
damieandark- The dancing has a great amatuer style of course a modern dacer would destroy everyone in the movie but though its dated i still love it.

****
cyphadiaz- For that money I'd put Michael Chambers up against ANYONE! Do you even know the history of Shabba-Doo Quinones and "The Lockers", Poppin Pete, or Taco?

A modern dancer would get crushed

****
starwars34- woooooooooooooow what are u talkin about boogaloo shrimp and the other old skool dancers would destroy these new skoolers, chris brown and omarion are good dancers but they cant tangle with the old skool

you say modern dancers have more complex dance styles but have paid attention to the old skools one? their footwork etc. make them best even now

****
Jadavontae - that is so true! old skool dancers would annihilate these so called new skool dancers like omarion and chris brown, who really isnt a good dancer at all.

****
sashasing - I WISH closing at my job was this fly!! lol

I remember Dave Chappelle "remaking" this on a blooper reel of Chappelle's Show* (hahahahha)

****
Rikkireal - Real name is Michael Chambers. Vibe magazine did an expose on him in this month's issue on his life after "Breakin'."

****
ehrichweiss -btw from wikipedia

(Tour de France)

The piece was also included in the 1984 film, Breakin'; also known as Breakdance internationally. Although the song did appear briefly in the film, Kraftwerk did not let the song appear on the movie soundtrack; instead, a cover version of the song was released by a group called 10 Speed.

****
dancingvideoscurator- This is way better than any other broom dance I've seen. Including the sweepers in Mary Poppins.

****
swagg321 - man turbo does his glides and poppin so clean

****
efc160a- at last the old skool still lives on thanks youtube

****
Zhqrxt - 1:47 was like the mother of all moonwalk`s. I remember how everybody was copying this and some weird "wave" walk he make later in the movie...

Allso the boogie dancer in Beast Street ( Rock stead crew i think) made a move everybody tryed to copy.. /sigh, them 80`s:)

****
epics7- my brother was Moonwalking back in 1981. Jefferey Daniel's got the young crowd into it back then. This was way before Michael Jackson. Rock Steady Crew; you're talking about Mister Wave. East Coast was more jerking and popping. West was more smoother with there style. I like the west style better. But eastcoast had the best breakers.

****
Zhqrxt - Arh yea, Mister Wave - thats the guy. Still effing amazing watching him. Break dance was mostly about perfecting windmills - fast and no hands. Boogie was more inovative, comming up with new otherworldly moves and suchs...

****
bigbooh69- So this is wear Ginuwine gets that dance routine from in his video ?

****
ncon328-o This is a good movie, but beat street blows it out of the water in terms of the dancing, plot, acting, and reality of a bboy's life.

****
reignman562- You Got That Right

****
gmccall22 - didn't know turbo was the urkelbot on family matters

****
ben3580 -The opening of the song for this sequence must've been the inspiration for 'bounce' by timberland used in the final battle in 'step up 2' - just noticed..

****
concernedagain - The moonwalk was recorded as early as 1955 in a performance by tap dancer Bill Bailey.[3] The French mime, Marcel Marceau, used it throughout his career (from the 1940s through the 1980s), as part of the drama of his mime routines, such as in trying to chase a balloon

****
concernedagain - David Bowie was probably the first rock musician to perform the move[4], however he remained stationary Jeffrey Daniel was the first person to perform "the backslide" on television, during a performance of Shalamar's "A Night to Remember" on, the British music show, Top of the Pops. The song was a hit in 1982, almost a year before Michael Jackson moonwalked

****
Getsorted - Jeffrey Daniel from Shalamar taught Michael Jackson to moonwalk, he was his choreographer

Getsorted 1 year ago d - Jeffrey Daniel from Shalamar taught Michael Jackson to moonwalk, he was his choreographer
