alecsmith (10 months ago) Proud Mary was written in 1968 by Credence Clear Revival and released in 1969. Ike and Tina covered this in 1971 and continued to do so until their divorce in 1976. They made it a much bigger hit than the original and Tina still sings this in concert. Great song. But your dates are incorrect.
