BKDREAM09-0 The Greatest Gospel singer dead or alive... I remember my grandmother having all his records on Savoy records and my mom singing this song in our little group. The Safford Highlights!!!

schs19947- Rev. James Cleveland was a man before his time. He played 21st century contemporary gospel music as we know it way back in the 60's and 70's. This is one of them.

TyreeAm - I was in my early 20's when I first heard this song and fell in love with it. My life was a mess and I begged to be released from it.

I was placed on a path which would get the mess away from me.

I went to see my Grandparents b4 I started on the path, and heard this in church with my Grands, and felt GOD walk into the room.

My poor GrandMother didn't know I could feel GOD in a room. LOL I shouted, she cried! LOL

GOD, I sure could use that help now....

CHURCHDIVA2010 - "All things are possible through Christ Jesus" He certainly can help you to hold out. I dare you to trust him. That song always give so much comfort when my spirit was pretty low. James had an anointed voice- a gift certainly from God. I Thank God for his music.

Cagedbirdfree - OMG! This song brings back childhood memories-- going with my granmother to choir rehersal! Her fd had been taking classical voice lessons. So, when the director gave her a solo she belted out her favorite part--"Help me to hold out until my day." She was an alto that wanted to be a soprano. She held on to the last note which felt like an eternity. I told my grandmother, "Dont you think God wants Ms____to stop holding?" My grandmother just smiled.

softtouch55 - I used to hear my mom in her out of tune voice sing this song as she struggled to raise 6 kids by herself with no help from our father and it brings tears to my eyes knowing how strong she was because of My God.
