Part 1 of this 1981 ABC American television documentary provides an overview of the roots of "rap music" The documentary includes vintage clips of early hip-hop performers, as well as discussions about the roots of Blues, jazz, R&B, Black church call & response, Jamaican music, and other influences. This is a very interesting video!
