The bands you hear today need computers to achieve this because the talent is not there anymore. I wish I was a young adult in the 70's because todays music is just a rip off.

tyruk (11 months ago) He literally doesn't stop moving -- dancing, whatever! He flows across the floor as if it's coated in grease and his shoes are friction-less! Legend.

Keep doing it, brother. Keep going wherever you are.

TheRealDerfMan (9 months ago) ...in those days, you didn't see many black people on TV. Even Hendrix on the Cavett show was an oddity in '69....

****

ootangoo (9 months ago) I mean you would think he would get tired after the first minute. It's not easy doing the James Brown. R.I.P JB

Thanks for the posting this clip.

hapymark123 (7 months ago) Michael Jackson did not create the moonwalk dance. The creators name was Jeffrey Daniels from the group SHALAMAR. Look it up. Just type in the search bar Jeffrey Daniels

****

RazaqIshola (7 months ago)  Sorry but the Moonwalk was done way before Jeffrey. A guy called Bill Bailey. Type in Bill Bailey moonwalk and you'll see. I have no idea if the moonwalk was done earlier than this but this video was definitely before Jeffrey's time.

love70000 (5 months ago)  great James Brown video. He was one of the best.

****

bhpfan (3 months ago)  Michael Jackson, MC Hammer and many others learned to dance and move like the one and only James Brown. They dance with with their own variation, but if you closely, their moves are derived from the Godfather of Soul.

treelady1944 (3 months ago)  You know, even before reading your comment, I thought of Michael and how he probably saw this performance which gave him the inspiration to become an entertainer and rise to the heights that he did.

****

xuanlane (3 months ago)  Godfather of Soul's greatest hit all time.

****

zuza1711 (3 months ago) like the music is in his feet

floppybollox3 (3 months ago)  Don't you just love how everyone in the 60s could just dance, like everyone had rhythm, the crowd is so on the beat you don't see that today. There's a great video of Chuck Berry doing Johhny B. Goode, check that out for some wild dancing!

****

redrebel2007 (3 months ago)  Looks like he's dancing on ice without the skates - we used to try and dance like this in the 60's - god it was so difficult.

****

BlackMasterJoe89 (3 months ago) OMG, he outdanced the song, he danced through the whole song like dat.

****

LadyTwentySeven (2 months ago) Michael Jackson himself once said: "Without James Brown, there would have been no me". And he was right. James Brown already did the Moonwalk in the 1950s.

****

EdwardPack1988 (2 months ago) Are u crazy, I have never seen any footage of James Brown doing anything similar to the moon walk.

****

EdwardPack1988 (2 months ago) I take that back, it is said that James brown did steps similar to the moonwalk in the 1980 film The Blues Brother. But it was originally done in as a tap dance in 1932 Cab Calloway. It was is also used as a mime trick walking against the wind. Jacksons version however is called Moonwalk, and nobody does it like him. plus he made it famous.

smeeIT (3 weeks ago)  His foot work is incredible. and this song is a classic. :D

****

LEAHCIM829 (2 weeks ago) Shut Up about the comparisons. Michael Jackson said a million times or more that JB is his idol. There's nothing wrong with MJ dancing like his idol.

R.I.P. JB AND MJ!!!

Polly1942 (6 days ago)  0173239863 I was looking at an old video of Jackie Wilson te other night and I saw the moon walk that Michael Jackson did. Check it out.
